How CCPD Serves You

Whether you have a desire to outreach to those who live with disabilities, or you have already begun your ministry, chances are that you don't have a lot of time to search for quality resources, speakers, and new materials. That's why we are here.

CCPD began in 1989 and since then has been dedicated to providing a platform and sounding board for dialogue, communication, and interaction for leaders interested in promoting the spiritual well-being of people who have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. We are here to serve you as leaders and as persons who have disabilities. If we do not have an answer, we will try to find it for you.

We offer annual conferences around the country in order to enhance your work and develop your skills. A variety of workshops provide the practical information and applicable materials that you can take back with you to your ministry and apply immediately.
Each new member receives a membership resource packet which includes disability resource lists, speakers bureau information, and much more.
Our information packets and newsletters will keep you informed with up-to-date disability information from a Christian perspective, scarcely available anywhere else. You will be notified of new resources, upcoming conferences and current disability ministry news through our quarterly newsletter. You will be be current in disability issues through our semiannual CCPD Journal. You will receive Christian perspectives on disability concerns through position papers on pertinent subjects.

You will have the opportunity to grow in your disability ministry, professionally or personally through our mentoring program which provides career advice. Specific technical advice and knowledge about printed audiovisual and human resources is also available to you.
The Christian Council on Persons with Disabilities is a consortium of Christian organizations working in disability ministry.
